Burglars caught on restaurant surveillance video
ADDISON TOWNSHIP - Surveillance footage captured two men breaking into the Anchor In Restaurant and Bar Sunday.
Around 5 a.m., owners said two men entered the restaurant and bar through a back door.
"Then they destroyed the place, trashed it, and out the door they went," co-owner Vicky Vignoli said.
The Anchor Inn is filled with surveillance cameras, capturing it all on film. One of the men walked up to one of the cameras and faced it.
Vignoli said the video shows the burglars made no attempt to hide their faces or identity. This allowed locals to recognize them.
"We put it on social media, and we've gotten probably 30 calls identifying them. We're just waiting for the cops to take them," Vignoli said.
She originally offered an award for anyone who came forward with their names.
"I wouldn't even know who to give the reward to because so many people have called. It's (not) about the reward, but really it's about putting these kids away. It's all about drugs," Vignoli said.
Police are investigating, but have made no arrests yet.
