Hallmark has responded to the tragic news regarding one of their own, When Calls the Heart star Mamie Laverock, who fell from a five-story balcony over Memorial Day weekend and suffered life-threatening injuries.

“We are deeply saddened to hear the news about Mamie Laverock,” the network said in a statement shared on Instagram. “As a beloved member of our When Calls the Heart community, we wish her and her family peace, comfort, and many prayers during this difficult time and have made a donation to her GoFundMe page here.” Fans flooded the comments section of the post and shared supportive messages, as did Hallmark stars Andrea Brooks and Andrew Walker, who each posted a single red heart emoji.

The 19-year-old actress, who portrays Rosaleen Sullivan on the hit Western drama, was first hospitalized on May 11 for an undisclosed “medical emergency.” She was then transferred to a hospital in Vancouver, Canada, where she began showing “signs of improvement.” In an update to Laverock’s GoFundMe page, her parents, Nicole and Rob Compton, revealed that Laverock fell from a five-story balcony in the hospital on May 26. “Mamie, who has been in intensive treatment for the past two weeks, was escorted out of a secure unit of the hospital and taken up to a balcony walkway from which she fell five stories,” the update read. “She sustained life threatening injuries, has undergone multiple extensive surgeries, and is currently on life support. We are all devastated, in shock, at this intensely difficult time.”

The family provided another update a few days later, noting that Laverock “is out of her big surgeries” and that the doctors “say she is doing well.” They added: “It’s impossible for us to be happier. Thank you all for your support.”

Following the incident, several of Laverock’s When Calls the Heart co-stars issued statements on social media, including Erin Krakow, who stars as Elizabeth Thatcher. “💔 I just donated. If you have the means to do so, I hope you will too. Link in bio,” Krakow wrote on Instagram. “Please donate and share if you can. Mamie and her family need our support. Link in bio. Thank you,” Loretta Walsh, who plays Florence Blakely, wrote in her own Instagram post. Laverock’s on-screen mom Johannah Newmarch shared a supportive message as well, writing on X (Formerly Twitter): “I love this family, my heart is broken. A devastating time for all who care for Mamie. Please help if you can. They need all the support they can get to make it through this #hearties.” Brooks, who plays Faith Carter, also shared the GoFundMe on her Instagram Story, writing: “This is heartbreaking news for the entire WCTH family. We love you Mamie 🙏.”

Other cast members who have reacted to the heartbreaking news include Gracyn Shinyei, who plays Emily Montgomery; Ava Grac Cooper, who plays Opal Weise; Kaden Roach, who stars as Anna Hayford; Christian Michael Cooper, who portrays Timmy Lawson, and Genea Charpentier, who plays Laura Campbell.
