iCare to temporarily stop accepting COVID test requests due to backlog

JOHNSTOWN, Pa (WJAC) — iCare Urgent Care centers are temporarily stopping and restarting COVID-19 testing throughout the day so they can catch up on their backlog, officials say.

They say this is due to an overwhelming demand and limited staffing and supplies.

Officials say you may check their website one hour and it says no testing at the moment, but they do say check back again periodically to see if testing might be available again.

According to their website:

Due to the overwhelming demand and limited staffing and supplies as well as for the safety of our staff and to maintain quality service to our patients, we had temporarily stopped accepting more COVID testing requests until we catch up with the backlog that we have and restructure our process.

iCare has locations in Johnstown, Ebensburg and Monroeville.
