Laura Bargatze was born on 1st May 1989 in Huntsville, Alabama, USA. She has been the executive producer of her husband’s podcast show The Nateland Podcast since June 2019. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Middle Tennessee State University. 

Laura Bargatze’s Career

According to her interview on The Nateland Podcast, she worked as a marketing coordinator for Applebee’s after graduating, and she carried on with her career in marketing when she first moved to New York City with Nate. She then worked as a marketing assistant at Alexandra Investment Management. Laura has also worked for Kurtzman Carson Consultants. Laura, however, went on to become a corporate event planner while residing in the Big Apple.

Laura Bargatze And Nate Bargatze’s Relationship

Even though Nate has been a comedian for more than 20 years, he and Laura’s relationship started out much more modestly. They met while working together at a Tennessee Applebee’s restaurant in their early 20s. Laura was a waitress and Nate was the host; he would make jokes about these roles in The Greatest Average American.

Speaking on The Nateland Podcast, Laura said that one evening, while out with other Applebee’s workers after work, he caught her eye and silenced everyone for a particular reason.

After leaving Applebee’s, Nate went on to work for a water company as a metre reader. He remained in a relationship with Laura, and it appeared to be the beginning of a steady profession.

While Laura was living and working in Tennessee, and Nate was pursuing comedy in New York City, he proposed to her in 2005. On The Nateland Podcast, they disclosed that he proposed to her during a visit while they were riding in a carriage through Central Park. On October 13, 2006, they exchanged vows; interestingly, their wedding day fell on a Friday the 13th, a fact about which Nate would later make fun in The Tennessee Kid.

Nate and Laura welcomed their first child, a daughter named Harper, on July 8, 2012.
