New Rochelle School Staff Take New Posts
NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- Four new administrative appointments have been revealed for the 2011-2012 school year.
Former Albert Leonard Assistant Principal Dr. Velma Whiteside will now replace the retiring Williams Evans after 15 years as principal.
Rodney Arthur, former assistant director of special education at New Rochelle High School, takes over assistant principal responsibilities at the school.
Leann Bruno is the new assistant principal at Jefferson Elementary School in place of Joe Jordano, who served on an interim basis. Bruno previously served as a reading teacher and literary specialist.
Kimberly Peluso takes over assistant principal duties at Ward Elementary for the retiring John Fogliano who is retiring after 25 years. Peluso was previously an administrative assistant for two years and assistant principal with the New York City Board of Education.
Former assistant superintendent of personnel and administration for Long Islands Hauppauge Public Schools, Reza Kolahifar, replaces the retiring Margaret Pecunia as the new assistant to the superintendent in human resoucres for the New Rochelle school district.
