The 33rd annual Showcase for Commerce culminated Friday morning with the announcement of more than $400 million in local defense contracts.

JWF Industries also made new announcements of more than $140 million in contracts including commercial, defense and oil and gas.

Concurrent Technologies also announced millions of dollars in contracts.

Local leaders stressed the need for people to stay in the community in order for their businesses to grow.

He challenged the audience to think of a bigger region than the Johnstown area that makes a bigger impact on military members.
