Police investigating early morning shots fired incident in Altoona

ALTOONA, Pa (WJAC) — Altoona police are investigating an early morning shots fired incident near a local bar.

Police say officers were dispatched to the area near Zach's Sports Bar, located along 6th Ave., just before 1 a.m. Thursday, for multiple reports of shots being fired.

Officers say several individuals fled the area when police arrived.

Police say officers did recover shell casings in the bar's parking lot.

No injuries were reported in the incident and anyone with further information is asked to contact Altoona police detectives at 814-949-2564.
