Driver on drugs rammed car into woman's, attacked her in road rage incident
CLEARFIELD COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — Police say a Woodland man was on drugs during a road rage incident where he rammed his vehicle into a woman’s vehicle in a Long John Silver’s parking lot before getting out and attacking her.
According to Lawrence Township Police, officers received a call from a driver who said and aggressive driver was tailgating her Tuesday around 4:30 p.m.
Police say the caller pulled into the parking lot of Long John Silver’s, along Daisy Street, to get help, but the other driver, later identified as 36-year-old Robert Roach, followed her into the parking lot.
The woman tried to drive out of the parking lot, but Roach rammed is vehicle into the woman’s vehicle which caused Roach’s vehicle to rollover, according to police.
Roach reportedly got out of his flipped-over vehicle, approached the woman and began striking her in the face while trying to pull her from her vehicle before a Good Samaritan intervened, police say.
Police say they arrived on scene and arrested Roach.
They say the woman’s face and head were injured, but she was cleared by Clearfield EMS.
Roach faces charges of aggravated assault and driving under the influence of a controlled substance and is being held in the Clearfield County Jail.
