Promoter In Dispute With CAA Over Questionable Kid Rock Concert
OCALA, FL (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — A purported Kid Rock concert said to be planned for Ocala Florida has been "postponed" said promoter Mike Myers.
Myers had reportedly been promoting the event, which was advertised as taking place on Feb. 7 at the Southeast Livestock Pavilion, but the event was called into doubt when a spokesman for Kid Rock's agency CAA told the Star Banner that: "This concert doesn't exist and it is not a confirmed show. There has never been a confirmed show."
Myers said he was in negotiations with CAA but that a formal agreement for the date had never been signed.
"We have forwarded an offer to them [CAA] and are waiting for a response," Myers told the Star-Banner "We want to get to the bottom of this."
The lack of a contract didn't stop Myers from selling tickets to the event however, at prices ranging from $35 to $75. Myers had been reportedly using his own telephone for sales and had sold as many as 1,000 tickets to the event.
According to Myers, no refunds will be offered if the show is rescheduled. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
