Steelers restructure contract of star safety Minkah Fitzpatrick

Pittsburgh (WJAC) — According to multiple reports, the Pittsburgh Steelers have reportedly restructured the contract of star safety Minkah Fitzpatrick.
In doing so, the Steelers have reportedly cleared an additional $10 million in cap space for the upcoming season.
Fitzpatrick signed a 4-year contract extension, prior to last season, that made him the highest-paid safety in the NFL.
Pittsburgh traded for Fitzpatrick early in the 2019 season and his since played in all but three games for the Steelers.
Fitzpatrick has 17 interceptions in 61 career games with Pittsburgh.
