(CelebrityAccess News Service) — After 18 years of music, Ballard Firehouse, one of Seattle's most enduring and venerable nightclubs, shuttered its doors on December 28, 2003, after losing its lease.

The venue, located in a historical firehouse, was a mainstay for local and nationally touring talent including music from the classic rock, folk, country and reggae worlds. Among those artists who have performed there, include Bad Company, Dokken, Kansas, John Entwistle, the Kinks' Dave Davies, UFO, Blue Oyster Cult, Jimmy Cliff, Kansas, the Fixx, the Romantics and Quiet Riot.

"It was a great 18 year run with hundreds of memorable and special music events," the referred to "ex-official Web site" states. "Management and staff would like to thank all who have supported the music scene at the Firehouse over the years!"

By next summer, owner Louie Gadini said he vows open a new nightclub at another location.–Jane Cohen and Bob Grossweiner
