Shooter At Kanye West Concert Jailed For Life
BIRMINGHAM, UK (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — A man who shot two security guards at a Kanye West concert last February has been jailed for life.
Abidan Raphael, 27, fired six bullets from a handgun at the guards after he and his girlfriend, Joanne Bushell, 22, were escorted out of the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) Arena in Birmingham, England after twice attempting to enter the rapper's show without a ticket.
46-year-old John Tough was shot in the face, stomach and foot, while another guard was shot in the abdomen.
Raphael was sentenced to life after a jury found him guilty of three charges of attempted murder, in addition to firearms and assault violations.
Bushell was sentenced for three years in prison for assisting Raphael.
The shooting happened on the final date of Kanye’s Touch The Sky Tour, which was attended by over 12,000 people.
