Somerset Co man reacts to time held outside the country after ammo found in a bag
Bryan Hagerich was held in Turks and Caicos for 101 days after hunting ammo that was accidentally left from a previous trip was found in one of his bags.
He was facing a minimum of 12 years in prison, but was freed from the islands after a judge gave him a suspended sentence and a fine.
Hagerich is now back home in Somerset County with his family.
6 News was able to sit down and talk with Hagerich and his wife Ashley on Thursday.
They said trying to keep a normal life for their two kids was main priority while Bryan was in Turks and Caicos. They also stress that this is a mistake that can happen to any traveler, even ones that practice gun safety and they never expected to end up in this situation.
