Julio O. Corrion, 31, of 96 McMullen Ave. was charged with possession of narcotics, sale of narcotics and resisting arrest. His bond was set at $35,000.

The case began when the Stamford Police Drug Unit set up surveillance on a McMullen Avenue residence. Officers saw three men meet in the driveway and saw what they believed to be a drug transaction, police said.

Officers jumped out of their vehicle and approached the men, police said. Two of the men stayed where they were, police said. A third, a heavy set man, sprinted away into a neighbor’s yard and ran away despite the efforts of police and the K9 unit, police said.

As the man ran, officers saw him reach into his clothing and toss something onto the ground, police said.

Officers discovered a ziplock bag containing 104.9 grams of ecstasy, police said. They also discovered a cellphone on the ground.

The other two men at the scene Friday night, a 27-year-old and a 25-year-old, were not charged and were released.
