Update: Teen Girl, Woman Killed In Newark Car Crash, Authorities Say

Tahtiyana Green, 17, and Imani Exum, 21, both died when the black Infinity G35 they were riding in slammed into a "No Parking for Street Cleaning" sign and then a tree around 3:30 a.m. Saturday near 15th Avenue and Hunterdon Street, city law enforcement officials said Sunday.

The car's male driver and two other passengers, one male the other female, remain hospitalized. The two men were in serious condition, authorities said.

Video footage from ABC7 shows firefighters cutting away pieces of the vehicle to help the victims.

The crash remains under investigation by the Essex County Prosecutor's Office.
